About Dr. Jensen

Richard Jensen holds a Ph.D. in analytic philosophy from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He taught at several universities for years before forming a company that specializes in academic advising software that serves colleges and universities across the United States and Canada.

His specializations are: ethics, metaethics, and Kant. Areas of competency include: logic, political philosophy, philosophy of science, philosophy of religion, and history of modern philosophy.

Although Dr. Jensen is a Christian, this site (and the seminar) is not “Christian apologetics,” nor does it presume or reference “creationism” or “religionism” in any way. Seminar attendees and readers of this site will find careful, systematic thinking grounded on the best philosophical argumentation available in a wide range of relevant topics. The seminar and this site are devoted more to teaching a method of thinking about difficult topics than encouraging people to form particular conclusions.

The principle of intellectual honesty is fundamentally that people should believe according to the weight of evidence, and Dr. Jensen is first and last committed to that principle.
